Modern Classics Marcel Breuer Wassily Chair

Product Code 5235

Breuer was inspired by the shape and form of a bicycle handlebars when he created one of his most famous pieces, the Wassily chair in 1925. It was designed and made for Wassily Kandinsky's quarters at the Dessau Bauhaus. The frame of the chair was originally made from polished, bent, nickelled tubular steel, which later became chrome-plated. This chair inspired by Breuer is made with a polished chromium plated tubular steel frame. Italian 'Saddle' leather seat and back. Available in black, chocolate, red, ivory, natural, white and cognac. Made in Italy.
