Design Icons order line is open from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and Saturday 10am to 4pm when our helpful staff are on hand to help with your enquiries and orders.
We try to keep our most popular items in stock ready for immediate despatch but as we offer an extensive range of leather colours (over 40 different colours are available for some products) some items will be made to order which means a typical lead time of between 3 and 4 weeks (excluding holiday periods). When your order has arrived into our warehouse our delivery team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.

We can deliver to anywhere in the UK but if you live in a postcode area beginning IV, PA, AB, DD, DG, EH, FK, G, KY, KA, ML, HS, ZE, PH, TD or Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Scilly or the Channel Islands please contact our team for a delivery price. Delivery is FREE to all other postcodes in the UK if you spend over £150.00. If you require delivery outside the UK please contact us for a quote. Our team will be pleased to help with any delivery queries you may have.
Whilst we do try to accommodate deliveries on a day which is convenient for you our delivery teams are not in every post code area every day so your delivery will be arranged according to which day our vehicle is in your area. Please contact us should you require further details or have any specific delivery needs. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday. You will be allocated an AM or PM delivery slot and the delivery team will call you en-route to give you an estimated time of arrival if requested. In the event that you are not present or available to receive your goods during the agreed time slot, or cancel the delivery once the goods are out for delivery, a delivery charge will be made to deliver your order to you at another time. It is your responsibility to check that the furniture you have purchased can be delivered to your property. We recommend that you measure the entrance, the route by which the item will enter the property and the space that it will occupy. In the event that your order cannot be delivered due to access problems then we will charge for storage and re-delivery as necessary. In the event that goods have been made to order and they cannot be delivered for this reason we cannot offer a refund so please check your measurements carefully.
We can offer an assembly service for larger items, please check the item description for details about whether assembly is included. Our delivery service outside the UK is limited to a single person kerbside delivery. Please check with us if you are unsure as to how your item will be delivered.
When Your Order Arrives
When you receive your order please check that your order has arrived in good condition and that you have received everything you are expecting. If you are dissatisfied with your delivery in any way, are missing any items or notice any visible damage to your goods please note this on the paperwork you will be asked to sign by our delivery crew and contact our sales team immediately. If you are unable to check goods fully at time of delivery please open and fully check your order within 3 (three) days of receiving it and notify us within this timescale if goods are faulty or have been damaged in transit. If you do not notify us of a fault or damage within the first 3 days we will be unable to offer repair or replacement.

Returning Faulty or Damaged Items
Please open and check your order within 3 (three) days of receiving it and notify us within this timescale if goods are faulty or have been damaged in transit. We will replace or repair the component part or the whole item as appropriate. In the unlikely event that the whole item is deemed faulty we will arrange to have the item collected and will arrange for a replacement to be sent, subject to inspection at our warehouse. Goods must be ready to collect in their original packaging. If you do not notify us of a fault or damage within the first 3 days we will be unable to offer repair or replacement.
Returning Unwanted Items
We are confident that you will be delighted with your purchase but if you are not happy with your goods and wish to return them you can, within 7 (seven) days from receipt*. The goods must be in their original condition and packaging and will be collected by our delivery team. Upon inspection at our warehouse we will arrange a refund minus the delivery and collection charges. A re-stocking charge of £25 will be charged for each item returned. Our sales team will be happy to clarify the arrangements if you have any queries. This policy does not apply to faulty or damaged goods which are described above.
*Please note that if your items are being made to order we cannot accept returns, only in the instance that the item(s) are damaged or faulty.
How to keep your Design Icons furniture looking its best:
In order to keep your leather furniture from Design Icons looking its best it is a good idea to periodically clean and condition your leather by using appropriate products specifically designed for cleaning and conditioning leather furniture. These are widely available both on the high street and online.
Remove light topical soil by gently wiping with a water-dampened soft white cloth. Spills should be immediately blotted whenever they occur. Any residual stains may be gently treated using an absorbent white cloth dampened with a solution of water and mild, non-detergent soap or suitable leather cleaning product. Avoid vigorous cleaning that may lift colour from the leather. After cleaning, allow the leather to air dry away from direct heat.
Never use saddle soap, solvents, abrasives or caustic household cleaners such as soap or dish detergent. These products can be too harsh for use with leather and may cause cracking or other damage to the surface of the leather. Direct sources of heat and extended exposure to direct sunlight may also be harmful to the leather and should be avoided.
By conditioning your leather you are putting back into the leather all the natural oils and waxes that are lost over time with wear, tear and heat. If you do not do this your leather could dry out, fade and will eventually start to crack.
In order to preserve the appearance of your marble table it is important to care for and protect it by using the appropriate products for use with natural stone. We recommend periodically topping up the level of stain protection on your table by applying marble wax which can be purchased in most department stores.
Tend to all spills immediately. Care should be taken with liquids such as tea, coffee, wine and sauces. Corrosive liquids like vinegar and lemon juice can also spoil the look of your table if left on the table surface. Dust regularly with a soft, clean, lint free cloth. Clean carefully with water and a mild neutral ph cleanser (acidity/alkalinity or even abrasives in ordinary cleaning products may cause etching or scratching).

All of our leather comes from Italian tanneries and has been chosen for the quality and feel of the leather and its suitability for use in furniture upholstery. To help you decide which type of leather to choose we outline below more information about the different leathers we offer. We have a huge range of colours (well over 100!) and we are happy to send out samples to ensure you are happy with your colour choice before purchasing.
CAT A Special Leather
This is our premium beautifully soft full grain aniline leather with a thickness of 1.3mm-1.5mm.
CAT A Leather
This is a lovely natural half grain leather which has a soft waxy feel and semi-matt appearance. The leather thickness is 1.2mm-1.4mm.
CAT B Leather
This is our corrected grain leather with a thickness of 1.3mm-1.5mm.
Carrara marble is our most popular finish for our Eero Saarinen tables. The marble takes its name from the Carrara region of Italy where it is quarried, to the North West of Florence. Carrara marble is white with grey veins running through the stone.
Carrara marble has been used since the time of Ancient Rome and several famous landmarks are made from this stone including The Pantheon in Rome as well as Marble Arch in London and the Duomo di Seina. One of Italy’s most famous statues, Michelangelo’s David was also carved from Carrara marble.
Marquinia marble is black with white veins running through the stone.
