Full Description

The Lounge Chair is one of the most famous designs by Charles and Ray Eames. Created in 1956 it is now a classic in the history of modern furniture. The Lounge Chair is a modern interpretation of the traditional club chair. It consists of three laminated wood shells which are attached to metal elements on shock mounts. This makes for a flexible connection. Soft, detachable leather upholstery sections attached to the wooden shells, provide the comfort. The Ottoman matches the chair. Available in over 40 different leather colours in 3 different standards, including contract standard. Made from Veneered laminated plywood shell in rosewood. Detachable upholstery section in naturally tanned Italian aniline leather. Flexible metal element for the back in die-cast aluminium, side sections black, edges polished. Seat, back shells and armrests joint via shock mounts. Five-star swivel base.
